How to make a happy cake

At the end of last term, Kakariki group read a book called How to Make a Happy Cake. Look at what we made!Yummy! There were lots of instructions and ingredients. It was hard work making it and a fun time eating it!

    I love the happy face on your cake. How does baking make you feel? We love using our kitchen in our classroom and we enjoy baking biscuits, cakes and muffins.

Yesterday we tried strawberry chocolate balls. They looked amazing, I wanted to eat it straight away. They were rock solid and very hard. They smelt like candy canes. They looked like little snow balls and they tasted like they had jelly inside. - Theo     Yesterday I ate strawberry chocolate balls and they looked like a little pink egg. Comic writing!

"We have been learning about comic strips and how to write them. We found out that what the character is talking about needs to match the actions. It took us a long time because we had to colour them all in! We found it challenging to colour within the lines.
