Marshmallow Sandwiches

Today we read a recipe in Junior Journal 18 - How to make a Marshmallow Sandwich, we decided we just had to give it a try!

 We put two chocolate biscuits together, popped a marshmallow inside and microwaved it. It was incredible!

 We were really tempted to put more than one marshmallow in each sandwich but there was a big warning that said it would be too messy. We also had to let them cool when they came out, apparently the marshmallow would have been REALLY hot on the inside! It was hard having to wait.

Jeff (SUPER CASH-TASH-TIC!!) from ASB GETWISE came to help us learn a bit about money

We learnt about money money that is shaped like a rectangle is a note, it is called dollars money that is shaped like a circle, are mainly cents .....but not all of them....... We put the money into order from the smallest amount to biggest amount (it's not all about size either)        Is it a NEED or a WANT? We looked at pictures of things like water, fruit and veges, fizzy drink, chocolate, bikes, computer and discussed if they were a need or a want Jeff taught us to remember  "speed to a need and wait for a want" If he showed us a picture of a NEED we ran on the spot. If it was a WANT we stood still and held up our hand.  .     .     Savings Jars We could use 3 jars to help organise our money the SPEND jar  the SHARE jar the SAVE jar      We could get money around the house by doing jobs for the whole house like doing the dishes, getting in the washing, va...

It's raining leaves!

Miss Clothier's writing class went outside to play in the leaves.  "I was throwing the leaves in the air with some other kids in Miss Clothier's group." said Brooklyn "When the leaves fell down a little bit went in my t-shirt." said Louie "When it landed in Louie's hair it was hilarious." said Slade "It was funny when the leaves fell on the ground." said Kaiden "When we went to the gardens there was lots of leaves." said Luke & Oliver.
